Pelath Explains Democrats' Contributions to the Legislative Session

Here is House Minority Leader Scott Pelath's analysis of Democrats' contributions to the just-concluded legislative session. He says we directly impacted the shape of some passed legislation (the highway bill did not raise Hoosiers taxes), brought some issues to the forefront (civil rights for LGBT citizens), and laid out some clear alternative paths for voters next fall. Overall, Pelath's comments provide a good model for how a minority party can impact the legislative process--and hopefully build momentum toward becoming a majority party again! It's worth a read.
